Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE MLK Jr. Blvd, Portland.

Admission: $5

I will perform some live comedy (new material, yes!) at Wordstock, Portland's annual Festival of Books. There are satellite events all weekend, at LiveWire!, the Baghdad Theater and elsewhere. Tickets for the main event at the Convention Center are $5/day. That's right.Five bones people. Cinco huesos for more literary fun than you could shake a boom tube at. Plus, the rainy season in the Pacific Northwest will have just started and you'll need to figure out what to read next because seriously, what else are you going to do for the next eight months? Wordstock for Writers and Wordstock for Teachers offer workshops throughout the weekend - I'm sneaking in to teach a teachers' workshop that Saturday afternoon, courtesy of the Attic.

The author's list is unbelievable and includes Julia Glass, Sherman Alexie and Richard Dawkins (among dozens of others). I'm basically wetting my pants on a daily basis about having been invited.

I'm performing at 2 PM, after the incredibly talented, funny, awesome and super hottie thriller writer Chelsea Cain, and will share the stage with Michael Rubens, author of The Sheriff of Yrnameer. A book signing will follow.

Hope to see you there!
